NEW DELHI: The US on Tuesday reaffirmed India's assignment as a Major Defense Partner and underscored the significance of its vital relationship as its National Security Adviser H R McMaster met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and held converses with his partner Ajit Doval.
"NSA McMaster underlined the significance of the US-India key relationship and reaffirmed India's assignment as a Major Defense Partner," it said and noticed that the gatherings were "profitable".
McMaster, whose trek here imprints the primary visit by a top authority of the Trump Administration, likewise met Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar.
"The visit was a piece of provincial conferences that included stops in Kabul and Islamabad," the announcement said.
Amid the US authority's meeting with the head administrator, the two sides talked about key two-sided and territorial issues, including safeguard and counter-psychological oppression collaboration.
